If there are any events worth attending in Houston, the Kings of the Mic Tour is bound to be an absolute hit. On 3 July 2013, the Bayou Music Center will be alive with the lyrical genius of more than one star performer. LL Cool J, Ice Cube, Public Enemy and DE LA SOUL are set to get the audience excited about good music. This is a great excuse to spend some money on Houston theatre tickets.
All four of these performers have, at one stage in their careers, been dubbed as “legends of hip-hop”. Who could possibly resist seeing all four of them in one killer show? Although the Kings of the Mic Tour is carefully set to coincide with LL Cool J’s “Authentic” album release, the show is intended to be a celebration of rap and hip-hop as a whole and not simply a marketing scheme.
This show is dedicated to the fans. That is the simple statement made by LL Cool J in a recent interview. What could possibly make fans happier than knowing that they have a show being whipped up just for them? That is precisely what music should be about. Basically, the Kings of the Mic Tour is a nod to the fans who have led to the incredibly successful careers of the artists involved.
The show kicked off on 25 May in Tucson, and has had no shortage of rave reviews and fan support since then. The Houston show is the second last chance for fans to catch these legendary artists in their prime. There is absolutely no excuse to pass up the chance to pick up a few of these Houston theatre tickets.
